Do you think its the social aspect that attracts more women? I know I love my friends in game as much as my rl ones. In fact my fiance and I met on WoW, yep we are one of "those" couples lol...

I've long been curious about WoW but have yet to venture there. Main reason - cost. I used to play Runescape but the free quests are finished quickly and levelling up takes forever! Plus I got really tired of being pk'd by higher levels. No matter how high I got, there was always someone higher coming after me in the wild. Thank goodness for the teleport spell! I then ventured to Puzzle Pirates. Which is free, with options to either subscribe to a paid ocean, or buy doubloons with real money. But real money is not necessary for full gameplay. That's what makes it so nice. Got my hubby into it too. It takes up most of my free time now. LOl. My son elicits my help on his video games, although I've been pushing him to keep trying on his own - which he has been doing very well with that in the last few months. Much to my joy - I was getting very tired of doing the same Crash Bandicoot and Zelda games over and over and over again! I love games and wish I had gotten into them sooner in my life - I'd might have actually gone somewhere with it. But at least now it's a nice pasttime to do with my kids and hubby.

its a great game Tink, and when compared with how much most people spend on their recreations, its inexspensive. However it can be consuming.

I am a non-gaming gamer chick ATM LOL I tried WoW and disliked it so much. I didn't even get past level 15 LOL I haven't found a game that I really liked and wanted to play for some time now. I did play Lineage II for about 2 years though.

For months my friend bugged me about WoW and just before Thanksgiving I didn't have anything else to do so I gave it a try. I could be 70 but honestly, I've become bored with the game lately. I'm just like if I have to kill one more orge, I'm going to scream. So for that past two weeks I've spent all my time in bg's. There's just no spark inside to continue on so it looks like I'll be 69 for awhile. Another thing that gets me is just how serious some people take the game. I've noticed it more and more the closer I get to 70 and people jump on me for the stupidest things. I just think seriously? You've gotta be kidding me. I'm there to play the game and hopefully enjoy it. Lately though I haven't been (other things going on as well, like a guild issue) and after another comment last night, I was ready to quit. I try not to let it get to me but... BTW, when I say those who take it too seriously, I mean those whose life revolves around WoW. Obviously you guys here are cool and have other things going on for you. I know of people who didn't work and pretty much neglected their children for this game. It's been a real eye opener since I first started playing.

Yeah, there's more of us on WoW than most people would guess. I'm pretty much a casual player, I like the game but I can't get all obsessive and overly serious with it like some people do. I just like to have fun with it. My main just hit 70 so I haven't done a lot of high-end stuff yet.

I've gone very casual. I use to be a more intense player (PVP Rank 11). But then life caught up and I've not really caught up in WoW since. I just play alts and have whatever fun I can. And on the side, help out newer gamers on mylot trying to break through.

I'm a WOW chick. My boy friend got me hooked two years ago and I can't stop playing. I'm mainly a PVE girl but I love to do the PVP dailies, too.
