I was watching a show on the Discovery Channel and saw a commercial that was just disturbing. Newt Gingrich former Speaker of the House was sitting on a couch with current Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. They were talking about climate change and the Federal government need to do something about it. I just find something wrong with the Conservative, Small governemnt leader in the 90's, now siding with the Left. Oh I forgot that these commercial are paid for by Al Gore. Newt I hope you burn in HE11 for being a traitor to the Conserative cause.

In the past, for the most part, I use to think Newt Gingrich was a fairly honest, fairly intelligent person considering that he is a politician. Not anymore! My guess is that Newt misses the limelight so much, he'll associate with whoever and take any position whatever as long as he gets some media attention. My new take on Newt is that he is fairly intelligent but no more honest than the rest of them.

So, will there be a new cartoon movie out called "All Conservatives Go To Heaven"? How ridiculous is it to assume that anyone not conservative will go to hell implying that conservatives will be the ones to go to Heaven. A tad presumptuous, I would think given that the only one who has the authority to make that determination is God Himself.

I know that you are new here but there is a religion discussion here on MyLot. This is about politics, not religion. Hoping that someone burns in He11 is a saying and not a religious belief.

Hon - I know the difference between religion and politics. I can't say that our current administration does, but I certainly do. And, my statement can be viewed as equally rhetorical.

Although I might say it's more tongue-in-cheek than rhetorical.
