have you encountered a celebrity up close? Were they nice? or are they trying to avoid people? who was this celebrity? when and where did you see him/her? how was the experience? did you enjoy it or not? why?

I've met several celebrities, but only had a negative experience with one, and that was Davy Jones, from The Monkees. It was at the Gulfstream Racetrack in Hallandale, FL. He had just given a concert and was signing autographs afterward. Come my turn, I smiled, handed him a Monkees collector's lunchbox to sign for me, and I said, "It's really nice to finally get to meet you, Mr. Jones. I've waited years." He didn't say anything. I figured he was still deaf frombeing onstage with all that sound blaring in his ears, so I repeated myself. He looked up at me and just STARED AT ME for a solid 30 seconds with his eyebrows crossed, like he was looking at me like I had three heads. His eye were roaming all over me, up one side and down the other, like he was puzzled. I actually became uncomfortable. He then got this aloof look on his face and said, "yeah, well, here we all are..." and handed my lunchbox back to me, signed, but didn't even look me in the eyes. I was heartbroken, and crushed! I had just bought a Davy Jones t-shirt right before meeting him. I returned the shirt and got my money back. The cashier was like, "What the heck's going on?"
