My left click stops after i use it so many times?

Ok here is my question i have an emachine 3604 and if i copy and paste something so many times...my left click will stop working and i have to restart my pc to use it all over again ...so here is my question...is it the mouse that is doing that or does it have o do with vista home windows? and what is the differences between home vista windows and prime vista?
