Sleeping during the day

Do you sleep during the day? I tend to feel sleepy after eating my lunch, or perhaps after taking a bath. It tends to get annoying sometimes as it kind of makes you feel the day had been wasted. Specially if you slept for hours.

Hello,DevilHands! As adult humans have the biological need to sleep at least eight hours every day.since i sleep only six hours during the night,i feel the necessity to complete the quota in day time.this practice i have developed after my retirement from service.after lunch one hour rest is enough to keep my body and mind fit.too much sleep is not advisable.thank you.

Although I myself tend to become sleepy just after eating lunch, as much as possible I do try to stay awake... Reason is because I think it's a bit unhealthy... I mean just after eating, I think sleeping isn't a very good idea. Right? Well... that's how I've been taught anyway. I heard that those food you ate might turn into fats.

A year ago I was diagnosed with a mental illness. One of the symptoms was chronic fatigue. I took to sleeping for two or three hours every afternoon. Things are much more cheerful now, but I still have the odd hour or two if I feel the need. I think that humans are conditioned to sleep during the day anyway. Many hot countries have afternoon siestas and the people often seem more cheerful than we do in the so called "developed" world. We have overridden our natural instincts and natural cycles in order to make money. It is little wonder that we now suffer from so many stress related illnesses.

I actually don't know what that is but made a little research and found out that it's some kind of fatigue that won't get away easily. It's good that your recovering, and I hope your not doing any of those stress related activities cause as far as I am concerned it might come back... I read that it's really hard to cure.

I see, so your trying to stay awake or probably is too busy to think about sleeping because your taking care of your children. Hehe... but with someone like me though, when school's over, there's mostly nothing important to do at home.

Yes, for sometimes. I hate sleeping during day. But my mother wants me to sleep. And I have nothing do with that, but just follow her.
