If a bully was picking on you and taunting you what would you do and why? Why cannot we fight them and show them who is the boss so they can stop picking on us? Why can we not fulfill justice by violent acts for pain is what forms justice, am I correct?

I got bullied a lot when I transfered to a new school during my junior year. How did I handle it? I just let them since I was half their sizes. I would do their schoolwork, they'd force me to let them cheat off my exams. It was hell but I don't think any form of violence would have been the right way to handle it. Had I decided to fight back, I'd only get more enemies since they belong to large cliques and that would have worsened it.

I guess telling the principal or parents would not be the way to go then. So much for justice.

My children go to a school were they are taught not to bully others, and NOT to hit back if they are hit. Unfortunatly I am of the opinion that this practice only serves to protect the bully as all the good kids who do as they are told can be bullied by the bad ones, who are under no threat of being hit back. I on the other hand, have always told my children not to hit others unless they hit first, and if the teacher shouts then tell them that your parents say that it is the bully who should be punished.

When I was at school, I got picked on and bullied a few times, but I had been doing kick boxing for a number of years, lets just say that once people realised they did not try to pick on me again. I am trying to get my kids to take this up, because I think that in this day and age it is important to have some sort of self defence.

I used to walk away and never give them the satisfaction of thinking they had got to me, I might have gone home and cried but in their faces I would be strong eventually they got bored sadly though they just transfer their cowardliness to some other poor soul. You should always show a bully you arent scared and they will soon get bored, im not one for violence but I really wouldnt sit back and just let someone attack me so I gave as good as I got and again they only pick on those who they see as weaker than them so be strong and stand up to them. You also have to pity them that they feel so insecure about themselves to want to bring pain on someone else.

Well.i am not very sensitive to people taunting me with words so i'd probably just walk away. But i can't stand being hurt physically,in that case i would definitely stand up for myself. Bullies usually have some authority and definitely physical and sometimes mental power even though they do that because they are insecure. Some people don't stand up because they're scared, some because they don't want to go against the flow. Everyone has a reason. Pain does not mean justice, even though it's the only language some people speak and understand.I believe that we should try to find a smarter way to stop a bully
