Im thankful that God give me this talent but the only problem i need to have a reference in order for me to have a good result. How can i improve and enhance my talent to have that originality?

I know a great number of artists that can't create original art in its fullest(drawing it without reference from scratch). They all require to have some sort of reference, whether it be the pose or the anatomy or the clothing or something. I think all good artists at some point or another use reference in one way or another, I do. It helps to capture the realism. Just because you use reference doesn't mean you aren't original, it just means you want it to look as real as possible and you can't do that just from your head. -Entiat-

i think like me , you find your own , like when i draw i dont need a reference some times i might use it but other than that no , like a face portrait yeah i need reference , but i keep drawing the same thing over and over again then no i dont need it ..

i always tell my kids..if you dont know what it looks like how can you draw it? most of us do not have photographic memories so we need visual referrences to complete or even start a drawing or painting. i love fine art but now i enjoy the more experimental side of things where i can draw from memory or imagination.
