I saw this commercial on tv today and have seen it several times the past few months.. goldkit.com THey say you gather up all your old gold items send them to them and they will send you cash immediately. Has anyone ever done this? I don't have any gold items since I am not into jewelry but if I had them; I would be afraid I would send my items and never hear back from them. I think you can see the site at goldkit.com .. I haven't gone there..since I have no gold. Has anyone here saw this commercial and have you acted on it..? Does it work?

I personally have not done this (no real gold jewelry I am willing to part with). But, lots of people are doing this or similar since the price of gold is so high. It is around $925 an ounce right now. You don't need to send it in. If you have gold jewelry or broken pieces of jewelry, you can take it to any gold dealer, get it appraised and they will buy it from you right there. So, you don't have to worry about sending in your gold and never seeing the money.

Weak dollar, recession fears. Gold is the one thing that IS money. Not diamonds, not stocks, just gold (okay the other precious metals too, but you get the idea). It was up over $1000 a couple of week ago.

Yeah, a lot of people investing in gold and silver right now. But not finished jewelry typically, most investors go for the coins.

Ok it know your posting is late but the cash for gold is a big dissapointment I acctually sent my things in from a old boyfriend the items were well over 1000.00 the offered me $20.09 for all of my possessions. I had a mendant with almost 3 carats of diamonds they offered me 11 cents for each diamond that was in the pendant. Also they offered 2.48 a oz for my gold and .10 a oz for my silver...so i would say dont send in anything to them your better off going to a pawn shop.

I've seen this commercial too. But I'd be afraid about them never sending you money too. I only have a few pieces of broken gold jewelry, not enough to be worth selling yet anyway. I do know some people who have sold broken pieces to jewelry stores that fix and repair jewelry and melt their own gold. They got more than they originally paid for the pieces due to the price of gold going up.

i checked the site but seems i am doubtful of their program. i am lucky because i'm not from the U.S. the program offers only to american people. many spammers now online what to scam people so we are very careful on anything offer that seems doubtful or security of our transaction with them.

hi littlefranciscan, there is a business here that is very much the same. the problem is not that you will not get any money for your gold but you will not get what it is worth. they are hoping people have no idea how much per ounce it is worth. they melt it down and create new jewelery or they sometimes receive a precious antique worth one hundred times what they paid some uninformed person. i would only consider this if i needed quick cash and the pieces i was selling had no sentimantal value to me...on the other hand if the kids were hungry or needed heat i would sell anything to provide for them. have a great day :)
