Just wanted to share some happy news with other mylotters out there. I have been married for about 1 year now. My husband and I both came into the marriage with a son. My husband and I, as well as my son are Catholic. My stepson was never baptized as his biological mom was not Catholic. At any rate, after her approval we went throught the process and our 10 Year old son Noah was baptized today. He will make his First Communion on June 8th. It was a wonderful ceremony and a great day with family.

Congratulations. This is a big step for your stepson and I'm glad your family wil be unified in the church now because it's important for families to be in agreement with respect to religion. I wish you well.

Congratulations on your son's baptism Lola. I know that it is a big event for those who are Catholics. Many do not see the need to be baptised. I am happy to see that there are still people who disagree with that belief.

That is something big to celebrate about. I am actually 19 and I wasn't baptized until a month of so ago. I did my first communion on that day too and I was really happy when that day came. It's awesome that your son was baptized. ^_^

Congragulations to your stepson. That is a big step to take for a young man. He is in the presence of mind to know how important a step he has taken. I will have to say that you and your husband are very proud of your child. I know to me it means more when a child is older to be baptized in the faith. As a baby they don't know what it means at your boys age he does. It is a special day for him to remember all his life. As making his first communion will be.

Oh, great to learn of that. Pray that your son will grow up to be a faithful son of his parents:Cosmic as well as earthly.

That is really lovely, I have four children and not one of them has been christened yet. I know it is really naughty of me but I had my reasons at the time. I do think about it a lot these days, that it is something that I need to do, I know my Grandma would be thrilled to bits if I got them all christened.
