Would you date a friends ex?

I'm sure this question has been asked before, but I just got back to mylot after a long hiatus.
So, is there some unwritten rule that you can't date a friends ex? I mean, they're not together anymore, and the feelings just aren't what they use to be. So, wouldn't it be okay to date the guy? Honestly, I see no problem. My friend, on the other hand, does.
What do you think?

No. This is like a had been. They could have slept together when they were in a relationship. Or they could have kissed, or been intimate in any kind of way. I would feel very funny if I was put in this situation. I am sorry, I may have to declined this opportunity, no matter how fine the guy may be. Plus, I don't want to give him any love. He had enough with my friend. Now! if, I end up going with this guy without knowing that he dated my friend, well that is just my bad, I guess. I would in return still feel funny and selfish at the same time.

yes. The guy is so sweet, funny, and hot, that I guess I'm too numb to feel what I really should be feeling about this relationship. Thanks for the comment :)
