Have you ever been in a speech competition?
How did you conquer your fears being there?
I will be in a speech competition in 10 hours and wow, it scares me but I have the courage to go for it. I know it won't be better if I won't go for it earlier right?
I will go for an impromptu category!
Whoa! Wish me goodluck! I'll let you know what happened when
I get back from the competition.

Thank you ate faith,
yes, I made it! I didn't win but I made my first step into more competitions. I won't make me stop this time. LOL.
It was a different experience right there. It was my first time and I feel a little more challenged and a little more excited to go for next.
Smiles!

No I have never been in a position where I had to be in an impromptu speech competition but I did have to do presentations in university and I was always nervous before but I prepared well and I always did good.

Most definite, yes, preparation is important and makes a good speech work out well.

GOOD LUCK!
I've never taken part in a Speaking Competition before but I have given presentations before and been in plays. I'm really lucky I don't get stage fright and can improvise when something goes wrong/I forget to write my presentation!!
All the best :)

Thank you dear friend. I didn't bring home the bacon but I brought home the addiction to go for more. LOL.
Yes, it was a different feeling when you are in front of this people you don't know and you are asked a question you may not know anything about.
What it gave me? I'm going for more. That was my first practice!
Smiles!

Once I tried it when I was in high school. T'was pretty scary knowing a lot of people would be there and without knowing what topic you should talk infront of them. A friend advised that just imagine the crowd as naked so as to feel comfortable and all..

LOL. That was a nice suggestion my dear friend. Thanks!
I love getting contact while speaking. It was scary yes but I just put my trust first in my self and everything follows.

I hate them!
When I was in high school I had this subject called "Elective English and it was about Speech and everything. My teacher had us made impromptu speeches, mimes and other stuff. I think it's my lowest grade. I just hate speaking in public even if I have a script to read. How much more impromptu speeches. Stage fright may kill me. LOL!
