Wonderful experiences, I just visited Skydeck 88 in Melbourne, what an experience, 88 floors up you can walk around the whole building behind glass, looking over the whole of Melbourne, then there is a part called The Edge, firstly you have to put protection covers over your shoes, then you have to put your bags and cameras in a little darkened room, then they open a door and you walk into this tiny cube of glass, ok thats cool, remembering we are 88 floors up then the cube starts moving out from the building over looking the whole city, glass walls, glass floor, 88 stories up, oh what a brave person I was...I would suggest to anyone going to melbourne city to go visit The Skydeck...

It sounds awesome lilaclady - especially getting into the tiny cube of glass which moved out from the building overlooking the whole of Melbourne city - but I don't think I'd have the nerve to do it! You are very brave.
I've never been to Melbourne, but if ever I do, I will at least go up to the top of the Skydeck 88 building (don't know about the glass cube)!

Oh you would love it, it feels a bit scary when it starts moving out, they had to close it during the recent winds though....it would be wonderful at night....
They take a photo of you when you are out there, and it comes in this great frame, and you also get a rubber band bracelet to say you survived, it...it really is cool...

I am not really a traveller myself but thank you for the offer, I have had a lot of my family go over to Canada, nearly all my cousins went over there and married canadians and now they have all come back except one, they love Canada and obviously Canadians...

I am Melbourne girl but I am in no hurry to visit it. Not that it's not nice or I have something against them. But I would die the minute I look down. I went to rialto 1 time and I sh!t my self. I have huge issue with tall places. If my husband and con want to go fine I will wait for them in Crown eating some ice cream.

I just wanted to let you know how you have inspired me. I have read the last few discussions you have posted. I have noticed that You have been doing alot of exploring. As I was reading the discussion where you had journeyed back to a town you use to visit alot when you were litte, I got to thinking. There are alot of places around where I live that I could be exploring. I think its great that you are doing things that make you happy. Thanks for the idea. Please keep me posted on where you go next. Pretty soon I will be saying"Where in the world is Lilaclady?" lol dl
