What do you recycle? I've been a crafter all my life. When there wasn't money to buy crafting supplies, we used things that would normally be thrown out. "trash to treasure" :)
Right now I'm recycling all plastic bags, regardless of type. I have a tote bag started from plastic grocery bags, a cosmetic case started from the thin produce bags, a sun bonnet from bread and potato bags.
What kind of creative, crafty things have you found to make from "trash"?

I agree that is a great idea. I've made mats to go in front of my kitchen sink and my stove.

I like taking those round glass air freshener jars (when empty) and super-glueing the flat end of a painted dowel to the bottom. Sharpen the bottom end of the dowel a little bit, paint it, glue it, and then put a votive candle in it. It makes super little twinkle lights for out in the garden. I use them to line the pathway when having a party. Cheap, free, and easy recycling hahaha.

Knitting with plarn (plastic yarn) is a great way to use up all those stupid plastic grocery bags! You can make a great reusable tote, or nice little dish scrubber pads with it.
