Here's a bit of a stickler for you. Being a YuKu board owner, of a tiny similiar fanbased site, I am watching this with great interest. A major General Hospital (Liason short for Liz & Jason) message board with a HUGE following is in a bit of a predicament as we speak. The original owners created this board about 8 years ago to celebrate a fictional, beloved non couple on this mega hit daytime soap. I don't think they were ever in their wildest dreams expecting this site to grow so rapidly and become so very successful. There are lot's of 'Liason' sites around this big internet, but this site has always been like going 'home' to all us Jason and Elizabeth fans while waiting and bonding as a fan base over the years for our 'couple' to finally get it together. Anyways the original owners more and more became 'hands off' in running this site, leaving all the day to day technical stuff to their two moderators, who were excellent at picking up the cause. These 2 admin would be off line for months at a time and apparently even changing their email addresses and not responding lately when mods, members OR YuKu staff would try to contact them. YuKu staff sent many bounced back emails and told the mods, they needed to have admins in charge or they would close down the group. A group with nearly 4,000 members. After months of returned notices and failing to get in touch, YuKu turned the board over to the 2 mods making them admin. YuKu groups are financed by member donations and ultimately the admins are responsible in seeing the dues get paid. Two months ago, the change in admin took place and the board was finally given a long anticipated maker over as far as updating appearance. Now, the original admin finally posted this morning saying the board was stolen from them. They spammed the boards, which likely was the wrong way to go about getting their feelings across. Current admin deleted posts and banned the original admin. Some say the original admin never should have been banned and should be shown alot more respect as founders of the awesome board My personal opinion is too little too late and if they want their board back, they should have to negotiate with YuKu and the new admin properly and not spamming and they have to be made aware that the members want 'hands on' site staff. Do you think they deserve their site back??? Or does the term 'abandonment' come to mind???
