Is your country mentioned in the article? Canada does and it is mentioned in the article among the healthiest but I don't remember what rank. I think it does make sense that countries with health care are among the healthiest and that they use environmental friendly products contribute to low pollution.
What do you think about this article? Is there another factor they are missing?

Top countries have social health care system. I know Swedish and Norwegian system and I agree, it is the best.
Also, they have good diet and less polution, friendly attitude and healthy lifestyle.

Weather is about the same as in Canada, but only on the north part of the country.
In general summers are not hot and winters are not that cold.

The very fact that you guys are all so surprised that the US did "so well", Only shows that the Media propaganda machine is doing it's job very well, lowering your expectations of what is possible in America. Instead of trying to Imagine where we would be if two sides were actually working together. But no, they don't want you think that way.

I wish I was born in a country that had universal health care being that I have a pre existing condition and it is hard to get health insurance here in the US.

I know how you feel I wasn't born in Canada either
whatever it is your condition I hope it will get better
I used to be sick all the time until I reached puberty then somehow the only problem I have is anemia until now, and cold when the temperature drops

Hi LittleMel.
I am from the U.S. and interestingly, it is listed as the 11th ranked healthiest country. That is a little surprising to me, that we did so well, given we do not have national health care and have literally millions of people here who have no health insurance.
Another surprising fact was that the article did not mention Japan at all. I thought the Japanese were quite healthy and very clean and just can't imagine they did not make the top ten, unless I overlooked it in the article.
Thanks for this interesting discussion.

yea we try our best handling pollution here and preserving environment at the same time because it's true money can buy many things but without preserving environment there is no way we can enjoy life itself

yes it surprises me too because I heard they don't have health care accessible there but then again I heard Canadian doctors go there for more money :) so they have more doctors than we do over here

Hello LittleMel. I believe that Canada is the world's healthiest country for its wonderful environment protected by its people with very good sense of helping and protecting the environment. I hope that my country will become such a country in the time to come. Thank you for your information about it.

I would say we do care about environment and providing health care as much as the funds allow, but no I don't think we are the healthiest yet.
