Have you ever been DENIED a friend request?

The feeling of rejection...nobody likes it and some of us dread it.
My question is, have you ever been denied a friend request? If you have, what were your feelings toward it and that person that denied you? How did you respond?
I've never been denied, nor have I ever denied someone. Have you ever denied a person? What were your reasons?

I was, when I was still relatively new here. It was indeed frustrating, but somehow managed to live by since there are lots of members who could be our potential friends here.
I also denied others, mainly because I can't see any purpose why I should add them or that we don't have any similar interest to share at. I think that's strategy, as I would visit first their profiles and check their posts to see if there's any that I could be interested at. And if I find nothing, I would still keep them at bay on my friends' request area for a couple of weeks then check back on their posts from time to time if they have made something that I could post to.

Yes I know that I had been denied before and also denied one who made rude comments. That's part of life and let's not put too much thought about it. Let's just grow and move on!
