Every once in a while life throws curves to someone. Its not always noticed by everyone but it happens. Its days where things that are bad happen that people seem to notice, we arent infallible. Everything dies or can be hurt. What got me thinking about this was the snow storm the past couple days and watching the little chickadees and feebees..the spring birds struggle to fly in the snow and wind..and then searching for food in over a foot of snow which wasnt there 3 days ago. I took pity on these little birds and bought bird seed to put out for them. Sadly I put a bit too low and my cat had a snack...I moved the seed pretty fast! Now...my dad has brought in one of the calves from the yard...she's sick...because of the cold and wet. My dad also thinks that she was under the snow and got stepped on. Life is just so fragile it can be affected by the smallest or biggest things we do..and the weather...nature etc.

Oh yes you are so right, I have often wondered how the little birds survive up in the tree during high winds and stormy rain, they must be very strong in some way, nature is amazing, I also feel for the sheep, cows and horses out there in the elements through hot, cold, rain and wind, I still think farmers should be made to have shelterfor them even if it is just trees as some of these animals have absolutely nothing, I think in some cases nature can only do so much the rest is up to us...

Little birds are just so amazing with the flying. I do feel bad for them when they fly into a window...or are blown into one. Most farmers...atleast around here have calf shelters and cow shelters for the cows/horses and babies. theres also alot of trees around and Some even have tall fence like structures called windbreaks for them. And they put out straw for them for bedding. Was reading as well in Newfoundland/labrador in the winter farmers have to put their cattle indoors overnight. I thought that was kind of neat. I guess it really depends on where you are.
