who is your most favourite actor of the lord of the rings and why ?

well its a big cast movie with lots of memorable performances,however every one has his own liking and there is some reason for it , lets share it and lets judge who is the most favoured actor/actress of this trilogy?

Gandalf the white - Wallpaper I created of Gandalf the White from LOTR
There were so many good actors and actresses in the movie. I think my favorite though is Ian Mckellen. I've enjoyed him in everything I've seen him in but he was excellent as Gandalf. He really brought the character to life. I liked all the others as well and thought all the roles were cast perfectly but he shines above the rest in my opinion.

dont u think Ian Mackellen was overlooked for the oscar for best supporting actor, i frankly think he deserved the award in this memorable performance.

The problem with this movie is there are so many that could fit as supporting actor. Who do you really say is the lead role since none of the characters are really the dominant role. There is no one that is seen more then anyone else or revolves solely around. I think Ian McKellen should have been nominated but so could the others who played Aragorn, Gimli, and Legolas

yeah you are right, right from beginning till end he remained my favourite character too , but this is the fact that he was nominated for the best supporting actor catagory for the first part"fellowship of the ring" only

My favorite is Legolas!! well, generally the elves..!! They're so majestic! Legolas has reallly good bow skills...especially when he slid down stairs shooting arrows during their battle with the Urukhais at the Helm's deep...cool!

yeah and the scene in the last part"the retutn of the king" when legolas kills the giant elephant in style

aragon is the most intresting character ........not to mention way hot ... i also like legolas and gimli they are cool

certainly not frodo... lol.. i like those merry and pippin characters... they added the light side to the movie and the actors had done a great job. i think frodo's character was overacted though. umm... the other performances were kinda okay but not that awesome
