If I could be gifted with any talent, I would love to have an awesome voice, that when people hear me sing they would be in amazement (he he). I love singing and I can sing okay I have done many kareokes, but I am not outstanding. I would love to have my own album and sell millions of copies of it. So what talent would you want and why? Do you want to be talented in dancing, karate, writing books, knitting (lol),cycling, running, .........

It would be to write, I would love to write the most magical books, books that captured a person from the first page and kept them gripped until the last, and just to be able to keep writing them. I would love to be able to write childrens books, like they used to be, Enid Blyton wrote the best childrens books with the likes of the faraway tree and the wishing chair books, if I could write books as good as that I would be happy as I do not think that there are many good childrens books out now.

I think you are a great writer. You should definately try and write your own childrens books, I will buy some. I like Possum Magic and Spot books, they are great. Have you started writing a book?

Oh many times over the years!! I just got bored after the first chapter. I am just doing an article at the moment, whether it will be any good I do not know. I have started writing a story that I have had in my head for a while for children but I do not know how it will pan out, sometimes I get bits of what I want to write in my head but never have pen and paper to hand, so of course I forget.

Keep at it, I am sure your story will be a success. Try and jot down your ideas when you get them. I also started writing a book on fun strategies to help students study and prepare for exams, but I have not finished it. I wrote heaps on it a while ago, then I stopped for a while. Need to get back on track again, I know it will be good if i can just get motivated to finish it. Good luck my friend, let me know when you complete the book.

Oh this is an easy one for me, I would want to play the piano. When I was a young girl my mother bought a nice piano, and I was taking lessons, I was in love that is a fact. Then things got pretty horrible for us and one of the first things to be sold was my piano. Of course you grow up and I started my own family, and just never pursued it again. It has been in the last couple of years that I have begun to think about it again. It might be fun now to kinda used one and see if any of the grandchildren might have interest there by allowing Nana to take lessons again.

I love listening to people play pop music on the piano, it would be a great talent to have. If you are so passionate about it, don't just leave it for your grandkids take it up yourself again, it is never too late.

Well in my case, it would deffinately related with music. I like to listen and play mouth organ. Whenever I heard the music playing by mouth organ my mind feel with joy. I can not step forward until my mind satisfied. In my teen age I tried lot to play this instrument, and I got succcess in playing that instrument, but my father banned that instrument as it took lot of pressure on lungs. so my journy of becoming a very successful mouth organ player was came to an end in my teen age only.

That is a shame that you did not get to persue your dream of playing the mouth organ when you were young. Are you still trying now to play it? Does it really put that much pressure on your lungs?

well thanks for encouraging me. its not simple to play that instrument because we have to play it by mouth for that we have to take the air in and out. it takes lot of practice and time to play. and that is what I don't have.well some time I try to play the mouthorgan But I get tired so early.

i would like to have the talent of speaking, in which anything i say would be very interesting. i want my opinions to be heard, and have someone to listen to them. i would like to be funny to, because sometimes i tend to take myself seriously. that would be really nice. as to enhancing physical skills, i would love to dance with no inhibitions at all. maybe i should be drunk before i can do this lol.
@kiran1978 (4134)

Lol, I agree being drunk definately does help you dance more and not care what other people think. I love to go out and have a drink and dance. I think if I was sober I would not have the guts to dance infront of people. Speaking is a great talent also, communication is important part of life, if you can master that you shall succeed. I agree, funny is good, I often take life way too seriously.

I have asked myself over and over before, do I have a talent? Talent would be something you are very good at with minimal effort...it's something innate. I don't have anything like that, I think. I'm still in the process of discovering it, if indeed it exists. So going to your question, I'd love to be able to interact with people easily. You see, I'm a bit of a shy person so It's often difficult for me to do small talks and the likes but I'd really like to have the ability to strike up a conversation with someone I just met and not have it feel awkward or forced. I've met people who are really good with interacting with others and that's what I'd like to be able to do.

Wow, great response, very different from other responses here. I think that would be a great talent to master. Something that I think will help is by getting yourself out there and talking to alot of people, the more you start up small talk with people the better you will become. Also listen to others small talk, i find that helps. i used to be afraid to small talk with people as I hate those awkaward silences, however now that I have just forced myself to strike up conversations with people more that I don't know the better I have become. Asking people general questions about themselves is always a good way to start the conversation rolling, i.e - work? children?

With some more height, some more endurance, and a lot more talent in basketball I would love to be able to play in the pro leagues. It's one of my favorite sports and there's a lot of money in it. Tennis or billiards would also be nice.

I would want two talents. One would be dancing. I love to dance and don' do it well at all. And, I love to watch others dance. I think it is the most artistic form of expression that a person can do with their bodies. It is so beautiful to watch. I love the show "So You Think You Can Dance" and have actually been moved to tears many times while watching that show simply by the beauty and grace, and story telling capabilities of some dance routines. So, if I could do that, I would be so pleased. The other talent would be to sing. I can sing ok and, if I got professional lessons back when I was younger, I may have made something of myself. I was in both the regular choir in my school and the Madrigals which were hand picked by our choir director. You had to have potential to be in the Madrigals so, I have to believe that it is there somewhere! And, my choir director chose me for a solo once out of 25 people who tried out so, again...something was there. LOL! But, I am shy about singing in public, and even about singing in front of my hubby. So, while there is some talent there, I never pursued it enough to hone my skill and, I think I suffered from it.

I love that show too, there are some great dancers on there. I would like that talent as well as singing. you can still become a singer today, sounds like you have some great talent there. Why do you think it is too late, if you have the voice go for it!! Don't be shy about singing, I used to be, I think if you can do some kareokes and sing in front of audience you will soon overcome your shyness.

LOL! Thank you for your kind words but, I think that I am sort of settled into my life and, if I had pursued proper training with my voice, it would have been in order to go into entertainment when I was younger. But, I am not seeking that kind of lifestyle now. LOL! So, I think I would rather sing in my car or with my iPod now! LOL! Back then I would have wanted to go all the way with it had I had the guts. Now, it is just one of those things where I am content. But, thank you for the encouragement and the kind words!

Both great talents I agree. I would love to learn the guitar that is one of my goals this year. Be great to play your favourite tunes and sing. Maybe if you aren't talented in these areas you could atleast get lessons and take up as a hobbie.

guess i would like to have a great singing voice. i really love to sing and perform in front of people but i believe that i really need a lot of improvement. i would also like to learn how to swim i guess. im not good at it.

Well you can always get lessons to improve in both. I love both of these talents. Swimming is one thing I do have talent in, I came third in my state, Queensland, when I was 12 for 200m backstroke. If you can get lessons I hughly recommend swimming it is a great feeling plus great exercise.

Seems like most people here responding want to be talented in playing musical instruments. I reckon it would be great as it would be a fun hobbie and great to sing along and play at parties. I would love to learn the guitar and the piano. What about you?

Just like you, I would like to have the voice lol and perhaps the body and the rhythm to dance. lol. If i could turn back time I will never skip and stop my piano lesson class and the ballet dance lesson my mom wants me to attend when I was a kid. Then I would like to be a more adventurous person than to be the person who keeps the safe side always.I would like to be more of the serious person. I would like other person to know me as someone who would mean business rather than to be the person I am today which is more approachable and all. Sometimes it is more advantageous to be known as the strict person especially in the corporate world. In that way people will not take you easy. =)

Yes if only we knew when we were children how important it was to keep at those lessons. I also started learning the piano and dancing lessons when younger, wish I kept at it. Don't you wish we had a time machine, I am 29 years now, so many wasted years I could have been getting lessons, lol. One good thing is you can still work on being the strict person you want to be, that is not impossible. Plus it is never too late to have piano lessons now. All the best.

It is very frustrating how it becomes more difficult to remember things when you were younger. Photographic memory would be so handy I agree, particularly if ou have exams too do. I know there are some exercises you can do to help your memory skills a bit, maybe you could look into that. There are books that you can buy on helping you enhance your memory.
