i think its the really nice idea you have taken. it can help few like us who have lost reputation due to some trolls. also it depends if you rate us + or not.. i think it will b eof help to all.

It is a good thing to rate post objectively here in mylot... i have been doing this for a long time now... but it seems that others are having problems with a troll that is on a rating binge... i have seen my rating go down but others have seen theirs decrease rapidly... i just hope that this will stop soon... or else... others might just opt to leave mylot...

Hi Dear That's a real good thing that you have decided to do on mylot. It will be good for you as well as for other mylotters infact everyone will be happy whoever is in your friend list that you rate each and every discussion and every post as positive .. that's a plus point to be in your friend list infact and I am glad that I am in your friend list :)

Yes this is really a important thing to us. Rating helps all of us to get a good image and this helps the person doing it also because he gets more favour for doing this.

I always rate. I learned a long time ago that you need to rate people that is how they get their stars. That is how they know how well they are doing. Of course some people abuse the rating privilege but i think that eventually the people who do well will win that war. I'm glad you have decided to rate. That is a good decision. It's always a great thing to rate posts. I was reluctant to at first, but I realised I would want people to do the same for me. Even if I disagree with a poster's opinion, I'll give that person a positive rating if he/she is able to maturely express it without resorting to attacks or name-calling.

I think this is a good idea as well, and I do this as often as I can, but it can be somewhat time consuming.

I THINK it is a great idea, hey lets all of us start doing this. i think we can help eachother doing this. at the same time you kind off get a boost. you feel you are being listened to and rated for good or bad discussions. good idea, i intend joining you.

Since among the three, + - !, the + is placed in the first place, it seems that we ought to tick the first one all the time. When I was a newbie and I was never aware of this totally. But very soon I came to know rating was really important. Since then I would never miss to do this anymore whenever I answer a new discussion or add a new comment. My cursor is always reluctant to move to the second and third rating button.

Yes, I have done this since I first started mylot. We need every positive rating we can get when we do good discussions and replies. Some people like to rate negative for kicks I guess, so it is good that you are wanting to be a positive influence on mylot. I always rate someone because I know I'd want them to do the same for me. I actually came upon you because you responded in another discussion. I rated that with a +, and it made me want to find one of your own discussions so I could give you another +.

Good idea as long as you remember the minus is to be used VERY sparingly, only for violations of the TOS and for abusive and offensive posts. It will help us if you rate every post because I think the reason it's hard for someone to fight their way back up after being knocked down is that some people don't bother rating. Annie

yeah similar to what you think. i made the ratings to all i participated discussions. i know it will help to up their ratings and star colors. hope that many will do that as what we did.

I think thats just great and I wish we would all do that. it would help all of us and it will also make us feel a bit better about ourselves when I complained to mylot about all the negatives they said they were checking some people out, but also said it helps everyone if we remember to rate everybody and every post. I also have forgotten to do this on some ocassions.but from now on I too will rate everyone

it's good.i started to rate each post long time ago.i regard it as a prize for everyone who spend time and attention on my discussion and they deserve the positive ratings. that's why our reputations are changing every moment.
