Who among you here visited the Agusan Marsh in Mindanao? I think only few of us have been there because it is not easy to be in that place without somebody who really know the place. Thanks to RAFI for giving me the chance to witness the wonders of the Agusan Marsh. Just this April 1 - 6, 2008 we went to Agusan del Sur to visit the place where the Save Mindanao Volunteers of Triennial Xchange Finalist of the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. Among the 103 scholars, I was one of the luckiest scholar delegated to the said place. It is a 2 hours travel by land from the City of Agusan and a 3 hours travel by water to reach our destination. Agusan Marsh is the place where we can see deferent kinds of birds, a floating houses, and a hundreds of manubo living in a floating life. Their main lively hood is fishing and tourism. It is a breath taking place especially to the city like person. I have taken some photos of the place and if you are interested, i will heartily send it to you just give me your email add. Trust me, it is a beautiful place and a life experiencing moments that Filipinos could be truly proud of and hopefully we could contribute to make it more acknowledge and preserve.
