Do you wait for your partner for dinner or you will eat if ur partner is late?

My kids and I usually go ahead and eat if my husband calls and says he will be late sometimes he wont get home until 8 at night and that would be to long for the kids to wait to eat supper. I will heat up his food when he gets home and sit out in the kitchen with him while he eats.

It depends on how fast he can get home. If he is not there by a certain time, I will start without him. I have to feed our children. So I may not be waiting too long. In my country, you do what you want. I know in a household, people have different strange standards that they go by. When I was young, Me and my cousins and sister would have to wait until my grandmother gets home from work to eat. The food would be already done, but we had to wait. I hated this. That is why, I never make my kids or myself wait on someone to get home. Although, I enjoy their father eating dinner with us. I will just have to start regardless.
