**Your** Celebrity Experiences

I was wondering if any of you have met a celebrity or celebrities. What was **YOUR** experience like? Positive, or negative? Explain why it was positive or negative and be as detailed as possible. ----Here Is Mine:---- First off, I've met several celebrities, but only one was a negative experience. That was when I met Davy Jones, from The Monkees. It was at the Gulfstream Race Track, in Hallandale, Florida. He had just given a concert and was signing autographs afterward. I had waited 10 years to meet this man! Come my turn, I smiled, handed him a Monkees lunchobx to sign (it was a collector's item), and I said, "It's really nice to finally get to meet you, Mr. Jones. I've waited years for this." He didn't say anything. I figured he was still deaf from being on stage with all that sound blaring in his ears, so I repeated myself. He looked up at me and just STARED AT ME for a solid 30 seconds with his eyebrows crossed, like he ws looking at me like I had three heads. His eyes were roaming all over me, up one side and down the other, like he was puzzled. I actually became uncomfortable, so I made a confused face as if to say, "Hello? Dude, are you going to respond, or just stare at me like I'm a martian?" (I did not say this; I was only thinking it.) So I just kind of repeated myself, only I used a shorter phrase, and there was a puzzled tone to my voice, "uhhh.. I-I said it was nice to meet you, Mr. Jones." He then got this aloof look on his face and said, "yeah, well, here we all are..." and handed my lunchbox back to me, signed, but didn't even look me in the eyes when he said it. I was heartbroken, and crushed! I had just purchased a Davy Jones t-shirt right before meeting him. I returned the shirt and got my money back. The cashier was like, "What the heck's going on?" She didn't see the rudeness I had just endured - and for no reason! I know celebrities get tired, etc., but that's no reason to treat your fans like garbage! It wasn't like I was jumping up and down screaming like a teenager in heat... All I said was it's nice to meet you," and I got major 'tude from him. One thing I found interesting is that we're both EXACTLY the same height! The other celebrities I've met include: The Spin Doctors (the lead singer was very cool - he gave me a guitar pick and drum stick to keep **AND** I got to have my pic taken with him), Chuck Mangione (very nice guy), Jerry Springer (he was nice, but he's not my cup of tea), U2 (very nice guys). Of course, I got all their autographs...lol
