I'm talking about first impressions here. Say you see a stranger in the street (I'm trying to use gender neutral terms here) and you find them attractive. You don't know who they are and you haven't ever met them before. What characteristics are they likely to have that may have subconsciously made you think that they are attractive?

Most people (all 3 :P) seem to be saying that it is based on the face. And the eyes and the mouth speicfically which are on the face. Thanks for your contribution.

The eyes.
The eyes are the window to the soul. I know ( Instantly ) I can sense it
when I look into someone's eyes. I know what their intentions are good and Bad.
I am ALWAYS right too. I'm not sure how I know....I just do.
In December of '05 I was at a concert and was in Line during Intermission to go to the powder room....In the Gent's line there was a young fellow ( I don't know )
28 , or 30 He had Beautiful shoulder length Blond-Hair. He was Clean-Shaven
But all dressed up in Leather ( Which I kind o' dig....) But I looked into his eyes in passing, and he actually Made me Blush. It was as if we had some sort o' Secret , and I have never met this person. It was just One of those Moments in your life that will last for ever. It was only 2 or 3 seconds long But I remember it Clearly!

Thanks for the story. I like those sort of encounters, they leave one with a warm fuzzy feeling inside.

I can relate to that. I am a fan of smiles as well. Of course there are lots of different types of smile so to be more specific, if someone is wearing the "I am friendly and approachable" smile I like it. Eye contact is a huge bonus as well.
