gawd I love spring with it's rains and bringing forth all the blooms, sights, and sounds of nature. This photo is a bloom from my Red Maple Tree out front. The tree is about 60 years old and in ragged shape. This being from lightning strikes, and woodpeckers hunting for their delicacies of varied insects etc. Anyhow I love this timne of year when the blooms are this bright orange and fuzzy. A week or two and the fuzz will all fall off starting to let the leaves take shape. The colors of these blooms are just eye catching and dazzling to me. Do you have red maples in your area? What are the type of tree blooms that really catch your eyes? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!`

I've never seen them! And I thought our regular lime green maple blossoms are pretty! I love spring too.. soon our fruit trees, an apple and plum trees, and crab apple, will bloom.. and lilacs.. If they all bloom at once which sometimes happens, it's so very gorgeous! Right now, our forsythia bush is in bloom.. and very pretty..

Opps! Forgot to add that the trees I like best are the fruit trees when they flower. Now that is a display in itself.

It's a shame that it is so ragged looking when you look at the trunk though isn't it? I love the bright orange buds. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM DADDY!!~

A nice picture of the red maple bob. Can you tell me what kind of smell that the tree produces and are there different types and colours of the maple?

I can't really say other than it smells like a tree? There are many varities of maple trees. This is called Red Maple as in the fall the leaves turn a bright reddish orange color. Some others are fire red leaves in the fall and others have yellow leaves. I can't think of their names though. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~
