It's been so nice and warm all this week that a nice refreshing lemonade is in order.
We all like it in our home and it's a good think too because it's inexpensive and healthy.
I always do mine with real lemons. Squeeze, squeeze, sugar water and ice, and it's ready.
The kids sometimes like it when I use Agua das pedras instead of plain water - agua das pedras is carbonized water like perrier. But not like soda which seems to have sugar in it.
It adds a bit of spark to the lemonade, and although I am not too fond of it because I hate the little bubbles, since everyone else likes it I do it sometimes.
So how do you do your lemonade? Do you use powder, the frozen prepared ones, or like me use real lemons and do the work?

Arkaf, I adore fresh squeezed lemonade, but here in Tn lemons are far from cheap. I buy them by the bag, I drink Iced tea all day long and have to have fresh lemon. I also like soda water in my lemonade, really gives it some punch. Then for special occasions a bit of rum adds a bigger punch.

You know what, you're right, they're not exactly that cheap, but the end result is so much better... and it's still affordable. Usually I buy them here 3 or 4 for $1. I used all of them to make the lemonade for us, so in the end it's still cheaper than if we bought coke or something like that.
I like that last punch you mention hehehehe a really bigger one :)

Yes, it really is lemonade time:). After a long wait it looks like that spring is here, and from now on I would like to have lemonade every now and then. I like lemonade so much. It is one of my favorite drink. I like it homemade. The smell of fresh lemon is something. I make it with fresh water, squeeze fresh lemon, sugar, and little salt. Then put ice on it. Love it!

Whenever I make any lemonade, I always use powder. I just don't have the time to use fresh lemons and squeeze them and mix it and try to make it perfect. Too time consuming. I like using the powder. Only takes a few minutes and it tastes just the same, at least to me.

LOL does not taste the same to me, but I"m picky LOL
SOmetimes I get the kids squeezing the lemons while I'm doing something else, then I just have to add the water and sugar.
I don't like the powered ones, but I will drink the fozen concentrated ones, they are a bit better in my opinion.

If I make lemonade it is usually using already squeezed lemon juice, since we do not live in the tropics. I will sometimes, but not very often, make it fresh squeezed... but prefer lime ade.
personally, if it is for me I like to take some sodium free seltzer water (like your aqua das pedras) and add a squeeze from a lime to it (or lemon)

Man, lemonade sounds so good. I especially love pink lemonade. My grandma used to make the best kind, and I always wondered why it was so good. It was so good because she put a heck of a lot of sweetner in it! I don't drink it anymore, mostly because I'm trying to buy only essential items, AND I'm trying to lower my sugar intake. I don't have to, but diabetes has hit my sister and grandpa, so I want to be cautious. Anyway, my favorite kind was always Welch's frozen lemonade, but I at one time started buying generic, and it was just as good. Yum!

Lemonade from scratch is good. I haven't made it for a long time. The carbonated version sounds interesting. It sounds like an Italian soda. My husband is diabetic so I would probably have to make it with a splenda ,sugar mix or artificial sweetner. I usually buy Crystal Light or light lemonade. Minute Maid light lemonade by Coca Cola is very good.
