( http://www.cnn.com/2008/CRIME/04/23/organized.crime.threats/ ) "The activities of transnational and national organized criminal enterprises are increasing in scope and magnitude as these groups continue to strengthen their networking with each other to expand their operations," said FBI Deputy Director John Pistole. I believe that the search for truth begins in a degree of doubt. It is always the best policy to speak the truth--unless, of course, you are an exceptionally good liar. Jerome K. Jerome (1859 - 1927) Recently, I have begun to suspect the government of hyping up the threats to our safety to keep us scared and easily manipulated. There are some fears, which are scientific. For example, global warming – or at the very least inordinately high levels of carbon dioxide in the air. Others, like this? How can I know if they are truth or lies? I mean, do they name names, give examples, list dates? The very best sort of lie is the one that no one can check up on. Ok, now to be fair. Would criminals try to do such a thing? Almost certainly. As a part of an organized plan to take over the world, perhaps not. There could be reasons for funneling illicit funds into the banks and trying to corrupt bank officials other than ruining the world economy. Let see, ah.. they might want to launder their money so they can spend it
