POEM - Illegal Immigrants Make Sense? I climb fence, poor and broke, Take bus, see employment folk. Nice man treat me good in there, Say I need go see Welfare. Welfare say, "You come no more, We send cash right to your door." Welfare checks, they make you wealthy, Medicaid it keep you healthy! By and by, Got plenty money, Thanks to you, TAXPAYER dummy. Write to friends in homeland, Tell them 'come, fast as you can' They come covered in Ford trucks, I buy big house with welfare bucks. They come here, we live together, More welfare checks, it gets better! Fourteen families, they moving in, But neighbor's patience wearing thin. Finally, white guy moves away, I buy his house, and then I say, "Find more aliens for house to rent." In my yard I put a tent. Send for family they just trash, ...But they, too, draw welfare cash! Everything is very good, Soon we own whole neighborhood. We have hobby it called breeding, Welfare pay for baby feeding. Kids need dentist? Wife need pills? We get free! We got no bills! TAXPAYER crazy! He pay all year, To keep welfare running here. We think Canada/America darn good place! Too darn good for white man race. If they no like us, they can go, Got lots of room in Mexico.

Kowgirl I'm really surprised that you posted this here...and a bit offended as I'm part Mexican, among other things. Mexicans aren't the only illegal immigrants here..did you know there are many Irish illegals as well, as many other ethnic groups?

I didn't post it to offend anyone. It's just something everyone is complaining about every day and most are talking about Mexicans. I know we have illegal immigrants from everywhere but this is the one that's in the news every day. If you aren't an illegal immigrant it shouldn't bother you even if you are a full bloodied Mexican.

I don't know why this popped into my head, but did you ever hear the joke by the Mexican comedian? He said Mexicans didn't cross the border, the border crossed us--which is true..once all of the southwest, that is New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, California etc..was Mexican territory--this happened around 1849 or so...then all of a sudden legitimate Mexicans who lived in those areas were considered "illegals" and not Americans...go figure

I don't agree with the subject of this poem, but it's funny, even if I don't like what it says, I like humor poetry.

Sad but true. I can't understand why illegal immigrants, regardless of where they are from, are allowed to collect benefits that they have never paid into. It makes absolutely no sense. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

Im not going to get into any controversial discussion about the topic because politicians cant even seem to come to terms on this one your poem-- is EXCELLENT! I really think you have some talent if you wrote this from scratch and believe you have every right to your opinion.
