Lord Of the Rings is One of the best movies ever made. J.R.R. Tolkien's great masterpiece. I read the books twice and watched the 3 sequels manytimes. But there is a grate exception than the other movies... Still i can feel it .. the pain of frodo, The greed, the war.. What does made it so memorable...? Do you feel the same? please share.. Thank you!

what makes it memorable..? hmmm.. i think the story itself.. though the story from the book and from the movie has a big difference (if i were to judge), still it stands out. i just love the way how tolkien describe and uses the power of words and also the effects used by the directors and other staff in the movie to describe the scences...

The story itself is memorable. Also, the cinematography, effects and having the right actors to play the roles. It's one of the movies you can never forget and can always be compared at when watching futures movies to come. The trilogy is great to watch.

Nothing against the movies or Peter Jackson's direction, but I truly believe that it was Tolkien's writing. His rich details and well developed characters and multi-layered plots, gave Jackson the ability to create the depth of character and environment that made the movies so great. Tolkien created characters that were believable. They did things that made sense with who they were and their history. Tolkien had written some of their history prior to writing the trilogy. His characters acted as they would have given their history and their upbringing. All this helped create an unbelievable reading and movie going experience.
