Telemarketers

It's frustrating to get continuous phone calls from telemarketers. We have to have a land line because we subscribe to Tivo service. We are constantly getting telemarketer calls. Recently we've been getting one about 'your car's warranty is about to expire'. We stayed on the line to get to the company in order to get them to take us off their call list and we are still getting the calls. Anyone have any ideas on how to get rid of telemarketers?

There is a registry called the national do not call list here is a link to it to sign up https://www.donotcall.gov/ After we signed up no more calls. We also put our cell phone numbers on the list too.
