Do you ever get offended by some thing on Family guy? It is definitely an adult cartoon; at least I know my kids are not allowed to watch it. Do you ever see some thing on there and think “Oh that is just wrong”!! I have a few times but never to the point where I wouldn’t watch it any more. So what are your thoughts??

I watch the show and every now and then they catch me saying "did he really say that?".But,like you said,it is an adult cartoon and therefore should be viewed by the parent/guardian before allowing a child to watch it.I mean, many people of all ages watch The Simpsons but how many would let their children watch SouthPark?(although I like all three).

You have all 11 episodes?Someone in the house obviously enjoy them and when your child is old enough to understand them will get the chance to do so likewise. The humour is not meant for all and YOU can decide at what age it will be appropriate for your 11 year old to watch it.Of course, this does not guarantee your child has not seen any.Slumber parties and sleep-overs or watching at a friend's place.Don't wait too long or they might watch them and get the wrong impression.

We have more then 11 episodes. There are 5 seasons on DVD we have all of them. My husband and I enjoy them a lot. I'm sure my son has sunk a peek at the show, but I won't give him the DVD and say here watch it ... about 14 or 15 he can have at it.

We have all the seasons on DVD my 11 year old tries really hard to get me to let him watch them. I have seen every episode and there isn't 1 that I would let him watch.

I have a very dark sense of humour so nothing has ever really offended me on Family Guy, though some of the things they make Stewie do are pretty sick considering he's a baby. He's obviously no ordinary baby though, he seems to be a much older man trapped in the body of a baby or something. I think one of the main reasons these people make adult cartoons is because they can get away with saying and doing things they perhaps wouldn't if they were using actors and trying to make the show as a sit com. For some reason we find it easier to forgive sick jokes when they are coming from cartoon characters than real actors.

I love that the writers say what every they want. Its what makes family guy so good to watch.

I think that you can take it from a cartoon because of the detachment from it. I love Family Guy and love that it follows the great comedy tradition of saying things that are offensive to hear to jolt you into examining the world around you and thinking about what your taught to believe about things and how far from reality that can be.

Every now and again I catch the show. I use to really enjoy it, but not anymore. My son isn't allowed to watch it and there is not much he isn't allowed to watch.

I have never been offended on anything with the show. I don't suggest children watch it as it is more for teenagers and adults. If you are offended by a show like that you shouldn't watch it. There are many things on TV that shouldn't be there but they are still there. I just don't watch those programs.

Yeah, there's usually at least one or two jokes in each episode that I find in extremely poor taste. But, overall the show isn't for kiddies. However, I think it's better than Southpark because they at least blend their jokes in without it becoming blatantly rude. I think that's why the Family Guy hasn't had as much controversy as Southpark.

Family guy was cancelled at one point because of its rude and poor taste in "wording". But either way, I love the show - my kids won't watch it till they are 14 or 15 depending on the child we are talking about. One is more mature then the other. I don't personally watch Southpark, my husband does on occasion. The whole show is poor taste but I think thats what makes it so funny. In fact just the other night when the eposide was over I looked at my husband and said "why do we watch this? Its stupid" He says thats why we watch it - its stupid laughter. I guess hes right. I know even though its a dumb show I'm addicted.

I can't say that I've ever been offended by Family Guy. There have been some moments that the content that's allowed on the show has kind of shocked me, but I've never personally been offended.

It's the fact that they actually say these things that make me laugh, even if i don;t agree with them.
