I do. Therapy has worked wonders, especially for the rest of the family. My wife and I, and our younger two kids, have come to accept that the problem lies with the oldest one and not with us. He is, as more than one doctor put it, a master manipulator. Knowing this, we are able to realize when he's playing us and trying to get us to lash out, which he has used in the past to justify his sometimes violent outbursts. Not any more. It takes time.

I don't actually know of any children who specifically have CD. I actually took a class in college, focusing on children with special needs, as part of my major at that time. I have to say, we didn't even study this. I have to assume it's a fairly new disorder? I found an article regarding CD on the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychology website ( http://www.aacap.org/cs/root/facts_for_families/conduct_disorder ). I've never even heard of it.

Thanks for the site, that describes my son. I haven't found many people who have heard of it but I know it's real and would like all the info I can get.
