I found a link to a quiz that you can take to find out how green you are. Check it out. It gives you tips after every question to tell you what you can do to become more green. http://www.thegreenguide.com/quizzes/greenIQ

That is a good thing. I really started thinking about it more, because I have 4 kids that have been reminding me to recycle plastic bags.

I know for a fact that I'm not nearly as "green" as I'd like to be. It's something I am currently working on, and trying to get the other people I live with to cooperate with, which has been a struggle. I need to start taking items to a recycling facility, for instance, since there are some items I know are recyclable that my city doesn't accept in the blue bin outside. I don't currently own a car, because I can't drive. But, I would love to get a car that could handle that "yellow" corn oil fuel (something like that). The problem there being that there are so few of those facilities around. I'd like to see more of those stations around. We've switched most of our light bulbs to lower watt florescent types, which conserves energy immensely. I did have to cringe in shame for that one "do you use a disposable cup for takeout coffee/tea?" question. I have to admit, I do like Starbucks every now and then, and I always use their disposable cups. The quiz even "eek"'d at me. :( Eh... no one's perfect, but I would like to be a bit better with this then I am. I know people who even wash and reuse their ziplock baggies. I'm not sure I could ever go that far, but I'd like to at least try to get closer to that. Nice quiz jengoss. Thanks for sharing it.

It is something I am working on too. I don't even know if there is a recycling facility around me. We recycle cans, but we live in the country and really aren't sure about recycling other materials. We have changed all of our bulbs, except for 1 on the outside of the house. I am guilty of the paper cup thing too. I have washed out my ziplock bags before. It all depends on what they were used for. I wouldn't reuse them if they had meat in them, but bread, or macaroni, or something like that is different. Thank You for your post.
