Well, I'm not really as adventurous as other people out there but the nearest to exotic food that I've eaten so far is the local delicacy called balut. It is a duck's embryo in a shell which is cooked through boiling for several minutes. When cooked, the shell is removed and the juice is tempered with salt or vinegar. This is actually featured in Amazing Race Asia Season 2; where the contestants are instructed to eat four baluts each. The balut is believed to provide additional strength for people on the go or for those who need to be awake the entire evening. Aside from this, my husband introduced me to eating a type of food wherein fish mixed with cooked rice is being stocked up together for several weeks. To be honest, I'm not familiar with the garnishings and condiments that they put in this delicacy. And the first time that I got to taste it; I really didn't like the taste. But after several coachings from my husband, I kind of like it now. I forgot the exact name of it but it is also being sold in the local markets and serves as viand for rice.
