How can I create a website of my own/ can someone guide me?

I would like to create a website of my own and include this in my Profile page. I want students to have access to this site of mine through mylot.com. I do not know how to go about this. What should I do/ can I do it on my own using MS WORD/ POWER POINT or so? Should I get in touch with some search engine for this sake? Please give me some suggestions regarding this. Thank you all in advance.

Kalav, this is nice idea. I have little idea though. You can go to www.geocites.com or www.lycos.com where you will find easy steps to build your website. It's actually very easy. Thanks.

I also have the same problem I started mine but its not as good as I would have wanted it to be though you get good help at a small fee with yahoo small business. They do web hosting for business and individual websites, they also design it for you if you so wish. Check on yahoo web hosting. All the best!!

well it depends on alot of things for my website'sssss that i have created i used 1. domain address 2. hosting 3. NotePad but i think you can hire someone to do this for you.. its really not that hard. but then again it is if you dont known anything about website making.
