i need your help...long distance relationships

a few weeks ago me and my boyfriend were going through i rough patch and i split up with him...ive realised all i needed now was time away to think about things..and now i want him back. now however hes saying we shudnt get back together and hes confused what he wants...he said wait a few weeks...but in the mean time hes till texting me and talking to me..which is getting my hopes up. i dont know what to do ...i know its all my fault ...if i had never suggested spliting up in the first place. i know he stills love me cos when i ask him he cant say he doesnt. how can i get him back and make him remember how much he loves me ? i dont want to have to wait 3 weeks ( hes says i shud wait till hes finished uni ..so hes got time to think) for him to turn round and say its over.
