enterprise boards, and those who are supposed to help.

You know, everywhere, we are led to believe that if you have a great idea, and want to go somewhere, you can. That local boards (enterprise, leader, etc) will help you. (Im referring to Ireland). Not so, They yes you go to death, and will throw this class and that class ( - Im banned from any classes now! ). But if you ask too many questions, and question their ethics and where they get their information then the shite hits the fan! I've been trying to get grants off the enterprise board for two years. Also - trying to get help from the local councillors, etc. Trouble is we rent a place, where we keep the animals as we don't have the funds to buy a proper farm at the moment. We don't have anything on paper either, but we could convert part of our back yard into shed, etc. Nope - Goats are not wanted, there is no feasability in Goats Milk Ice cream, etc. Why would I want to go overseas to a farm to see how things were done when there is a HUGE goat farm outside (The woman at the farm in question has 3 goats -BA, BT, and a BS and hasnt sold milk in 15-20 years). I then sent a survey to each county enterprise board in the country, asking what grants were given in 07, what types of companies, products, etc were involved, I asked how many were women owned companies, and what products, and how much each got. Bear in mind this is public record and I will eventually get it. 8 boards responded. My own Longford board - well, CEO called up shouting and roaring - what was I at, what did I hope to achieve, they did there best (to humor me). Then I was effectively banned from everything. So - what does everyone think, how are boards in your area with helping the small producer, the one trying to get off the ground, do they squash you, try to keep you down, or encourage? I must stay that some seem to be great, except by me here! Opinions please, also check out the web page on bottom of my profile and let me know what you think!
