Would you pay for this?

The other morning my boyfriend was sitting out back and he noticed that a man pulled up at our back neighbors house, entered their back gate and was carrying a shovel. About 10 minutes later, the guy exited the yard, carrying a filled bag, and his shovel. It wasn't until the man got back to his pick-up truck, that my boyfriend realized it was a poop-scooping service! So basically our rich neighbors are too lazy to clean up their dog's poo! We were laughing for a few minutes about that. Now, however, we keep thinking that I could totally be a poo-scooper! There would be next to no start up costs. The biggest thing would be advertising. I could hand out fliers, put in ad in the pennysaver... or whatever. I can think of alot of places to advertise.... Anyway, before we started thinking about this being something i could do, we kept wondering WHY the people would pay for this service. They are home early everyday, and their yard is NOT big at all. It's very small. It took the guy like 10 minutes to clean up the poo. We think that the rich people that live there are just lazy. Would NON-rich people pay for this? If you had a dog, and the fees were reasonable, would you pay? If you could pay someone to clean up after your dog, and it wasn't that expensive per month/or week to do it--- would you? I don't think I WOULD pay for this service, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't offer it to someone that would. I mean, maybe if I wsa bedridden or sick for a while, I probably would then, but if I'm phsically able, i don't think I would pay. What do you guys think? If I actually DID do something like this, would I make anything? I would have to cover the cost of gas and advertising. Mainly gas, because I think I could advertise pertty cheap with just handing out fliers, and sticking them in mail boxes. I've been trying to find some kind of job or tast that I can take my kid with me since he has so many medical issues. I think this could be something I could take him with me while I get it done. I'm just wondering if I would get anywhere with it though.

Someone els eon here was talking about this service. It was something she does do for a living and came up with the idea when her daughter (I think) was looking for a job as a teenager. She just posted the discussion yesterday, maybe the day before.

LOL tat is so funny. I guess if I was super busy I would pay for it. Shoot don't even have a dog but the neighbors dogs end up pooping in our yards. Maye I should pay you to clean up their dogs messes and then split the bill between the people who let their dogs run.

LOL That is funny. I've been having to clean up more poo then what is my dog's too. We have her tied in a specific area, and that is the only place she is allowed to go, but yet I keep seeing "extra" stuff around....
