Email Client - Mozilla Thunderbird or Outlook Express or other?

The only two email clients that I know of are Thunderbird and of course Outlook Express. This includes the office version Outlook. I currently use Outlook Express and I like it a lot. It is very familiar to me and therefore I am comfortable with it. However, I noticed that Mozilla has their version called Thunderbird. I thought about using it. I would just like some feedback on Thunderbird and if anyone uses anything else that is out there but not many are aware of.

I always use Microsoft Outlook for email etcetera. I have tried Thunderbird simply for curiosity, but never had any intention of abandoning Outlook. On the occassions that I use Linux distributions I always install Crossover Office, which is a program that will support several Microsoft programs including Microsoft Office and allow me to run Microsoft Outlook as muy email client.

I use Outlook Express, but will have to change due to Hotmail not allowing people to access their account through Outlook Express as of June.

Mozilla Thunderbird is great. I use it all the time. It has built in spam filters and you can download an add on called Lightning which gives you the calendar that is like Outlook. You can also download other add ons for it, whichever ones you like for skinning it etc. It also has a built in rss reader. It is great. I love it.

I'm glad you asked this question. I didn't realize that Mozilla had an email client called Thunderbird. I've been using Outlook Express since I first got Internet service - in 1999. But I think I'll check out Mizilla's Thunderbird. Cool.
