Pastors in the black community are claiming that Planned Parenthood has always been against the expanding black community. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,352537,00.html According to a report released by the group of Students for Life America on Tuesday, black women are 4.8 times more likely to have an abortion than white women, while the black population in the U.S. is in decline. Black women account for 36 percent of those having abortions in the U.S. today, according to group, while black children make up 17 percent of live births. What do you think? Is Planned Parenthood to blame for all these abortions? I personally believe that Planned Parenthood is just providing a service. If these people were educated better on STD, pregnancy and birth control options then STDs and the pregnancy/abortion rate amongst low income people would not be out of control. These leaders are looking at the wrong people to blame for this. They should be looking at themselves and figuring out what they can do to better educate.

Planned Parenthood is a vital community service. The program does more than advise about abortions. they provide first prenatal care, provide all typs of options for birth control, screen for stds, provide low income women with health tests they may not otherwise get. I agree with you that education is the key to solving this problem. Not attacking programs that help women in crises and give options.

I have read that Planned Parenthood did start out that way, to keep down the black population..I can't remember where I read it, but black or white, a baby is a living human being and no one has any right other than G♥d himself to take that life..

I am not surprised one bit. Margret Sanger was a eugenicist. http://www.godandscience.org/doctrine/moderneugenics.html http://www.citizenreviewonline.org/special_issues/population/the_negro_project.htm http://www.catholiceducation.org/articles/sexuality/se0057.html I could go on but you can search for yourself. This may not be the way it is now but realize the founder of Planned Parenthood was a eugenicist which means they believed in eliminating everyone from the planet who was not a perfect Aryan like themselves.

Yep dreamy, isn't that awful.. And they still do it, like legal elimination because a child is disabled, lets just get rid of it so we can have a perfect society..That is crap..We will never here a perfect world and even if every baby was born perfect, accidents happen..Like what if Tom at age 10 in an accident lost his legs or if Cindy hit her head when she was 15 and she can no longer think for her self..They are still people, you gonna kill them too because they are different.. Sorry for the vent, I am sick of people saying a fetus is nothing and we have rights to "play god" and say who has a right to live..

Sorry for the vent, I am sick of people saying a fetus is nothing and we have rights to "play god" and say who has a right to live Is that how you feel about all abortions? and also do you honestly think that all women who DO have, had or would have an abortion feel that a fetus is "nothing"? Just curious

I guess they were surprised that black women would actually want to do something more than be mothers. I feel sorry for any man , black or white, pastor or not that thinks that any organization is to blame for an woman wanting not to be a parent. He is missing the point. It is a woman's choice so if he wants to be a parent, he better make sure his partner wants the same.

So, are you saying abortion is an acceptable birth control method? Because the women I know who want to avoid having children use the pill or have their tubes tied.

I agree. But since they are Pastors they figure it is better to blame someone else that the people having the abortions, Planned Parenthood has always seen easy prey opinions like the ones the Pastors had. Education, and prevention of stds should be first in my book and then if they still have time point the finger, but I am sure they will find out that there are four fingers pointing back at them.

All kinds of races go to Planned Parenthood, to accuse them of genocide is extreme. I will read the links when I have the time, and if I have the desire to do so, extremist links are not my cup of tea.

I really don't see how they are doing anything wrong in questioning the motives of Planned Parenthood. HOw do you know that they aren't educating their youth to prevent std's and pregnancy? I encourage you to read the views of the early planned parenthood...united birth control league...which became what we know as planned parenthood today....it would turn your stomach to see what they put their lifes effort to. NOt just birth control..they had to deflect attention from their real agenda....genocide and eugenics. Go see for yourself with these links: http://blackgenocide.org/negro.html http://www.acts1711.com/sanger.htm

Check out these links showing that the founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger believed in black genocide and eugenics. http://blackgenocide.org/negro.html http://www.acts1711.com/sanger.htm There are many reasons to believe that the whole Choice movement is not what it seems. As well as Planned Parenthood clinics are under fire for encouraging young women to break the law governing consent and the mandated reporting of incest, statuatory rape, and other laws being broken all in the name of 'choice'. http://www.lifenews.com/state4275.html

Ridiculous. Do they think Planned Parenthood is forcing anyone to go have an abortion? They do it on their own free will. Let me see the Reverend take in all the children that aren't aborted. If he cared so much about them he should adopt every last one of them. I go to Planned Parenthood. I've always gotten good service and I will continue to support them. I'm sick of people not taking personal responsibility for their actions. They want to blame everyone else for their problems but themselves.
