She started talking and reading when she was just 8 months old. She had elementary school finished at age 5.
She made the jump to college at age 10. And by age 14, Sabur was earning a bachelor’s of science degree in applied mathematics summacum laude from Stony Brook University — the youngest female in U.S. history to do so.
Her education continued at Drexel University, where she earned an M.S. and a Ph.D. in materials science and engineering.

Wow don't you wish you'd finished school that young?

I suddenly remembered Doogie Howser MD. I loved that show and the diary application he was typing on was still dos based (maybe wordstar).
Sometimes, there is something geniuses miss. To live a normal life. That's sad and empty somehow and everyone else sometimes perceives them perfect and other times, watches out for their mistakes but that depends on how their family introduced life to them. They should still enjoy life as people with average intelligence if their families do not isolate them.

On the other hand, that guy can make the most out of finishing studies with post graduate degree at 19. It just depends whether to put himself into a more serious work or find time to play now and relax a bit. I would love to have the same situation if I can enjoy my life now the same way and I won't be treated a freak just because of being overly intelligent. I think with the story you related it seems to me that he does not look like a stereotyped genius in comedy films. He looks just like the normal kids, doesn't he?

I love how the girl your talking about felt so compelled to help others and i think thats great. I think they said she wants to participate in a research project in nanotechnology developing 'nanotubes for use as cellular probes that will help aid in the cure of disease'.
