Stupid Stupid Star Ratings.....I'm Now At 5, What The Hack Dude!

Ok, so I have been trying to ignore the star ratings because they just tend to get me aggrivated and I have been doing a very good job at it but this morning I noticed that I'm now at 5. What the heck?
Could it be because yesterday and the day before I didn't post much? Does that make your rating go down or is it just people giving you (-) that makes it go down? If it's the last, I have not had any problems with anyone on here lately, so, I don't understand why it would keep going down? I have one theory about this but I'm going to keep my mouth shut because I don't want to give anyone any ideas pft...
Should I just continue to ignore the stars and move on and forget about them because really, they are annoying....

Check your profile/friend's list for low activity and very low post individuals (some should be obvious). You may have to remove them as they'll have your notifications on and they'll simply negative your discussions (and all responses to responses you give there). That should help somewhat, but there are others who will simply tail your profile either way.
I think its fair to complain about the system, but other things like leaving or refusing to respond, that's entirely up to you. The stars themselves are just jokes in my opinion. Go compare my star to my best responses and discussions, and then compare that to some 9 and 10 stars, just as an example.

Hi there Kat!I think that it is all because of how other mylotters rate you. I read this from Mylot discussion guidelines at http://www.mylot.com/o/guidelines.aspx:Be sure to rate users’ discussions, responses, comments, and photos for the new myLot reputation system. The myLot reputation rating is decided by myLot users.
And also because I was inactive for about half a year but my rating didn't changed.
Just don't pay attention to it, maybe there's just some negative-rating-happy members out there or maybe some gets easily offended and gets back through giving a negative rating.

I don't know. Mine was a ten some time back. I have noticed that if you have mentioned a particular issue it can adversely affect your rating. I think that happened to me. I decided to not let it bother me. Some people are just very immature and can troll us on here. Not sure. PM and tell me what you discover as I'd like to know for myself.

Cheer up my friend. YOu are not alone. It happened to me too. I got ten. And I wasn't aware of it till my friend told me. And I was so happy. Then the following day, it became 9. THen it became 8. Then it went back to 9... now it is 8 again. So what the heck too. I don't care anymore. As long as it doesn't affect my earning, it's ok with me. So just ignore it. They said because of the rating that people make on your post.

The star rating is what kind of basis,up to now i did not understand that this is how active of the increase,the number of responses to your stars will increase,in violation of some rules of the forum is not to the point system

Don't mind it too much as long as we recongnize your hardwork yea , we will upped you once you produce something good yea of course it seems that your star was up by one , so something to cheers about, don't feel so annoyed .

Hello there. I hope that you will not be so sad about it. I know how it feels, though it doesn't really matter. But there is a bit of "thought" in it, yes definitely? I went from a 7 to a 10 then now to a 9. It has something for me to think about as well. What made the jump from 7 to 10? And what made it dropped to 9 all of a sudden? And it's not moving at all; the 9 has been matching my red shirt for quite some time already, despite me getting lots of responses, and stuff like that.
PM me for what you think of all this, for I have definitely become the curious cat. But I shall just keep it for myself, for I am tired of dealing with it all. Have a good day there. ;)

you are not alone, my ratings also drop each day. many speculations about what happening to mylot lately. i think the dropping of our ratings it's because mylot user rate us negative. i have not had problem with any mylot users also but still my ratings still dropping. i decide not minding my ratings as long as it will not affect my earnings.

check your friends list and if you have anyone with only one or two posts and a whole lot of friends delete them as these are trolls working within your friends list. I did that and gained from six to seven star so it is a beginning.someone just hates to see us get up to nine or ten and does a lot of hitting the minus key.

It just means your not a mindless person. It means you have an oppenion on things and some moron rates your post or responce negativly. Don't worry, Ware it with pride, it only means you do have an oppenion and who cares if anyone agrees with it.

you should continue to ignore the stars because they don't affect your earnings after all. people are giving you a - that makes your star go down, or maybe you're also a victim of a troll that they're talking about
