Playtime in Croatian schools has been forced to be cancelled due to hungry seagulls started to attack the pupils lunchboxes. The protected species have resorted to scavenging owing to an explosion in their numbers. http://www.metro.co.uk/wierd/article.html?in_article_id=144628&in_page_id=2 A Porec city offical has said that 'we need to do something about this situation as it is too dangerous for the children to go outside, before it gets any worse.' What would you do if this was happening at your child's school??

That's crazy. I'm glad I don't go to that school or know anyone that goes there. If my child went there, I'd probably keep them home for awhile or make sure that my child was not sent outside during lunch to keep them safe.

I think the teachers have stopped sending them outside but it will be hard to get rid of the seagulls as they are a protected species!!

Wow, that's terrible. I'm not sure what I would do. I would be happy that the school did what they could to keep my kids safe. What else can be done about the birds?
