I know that most adolescentes are hip-hop fans.
I am just trying to point out that hip -hop is not what used to be. There was a time when hip-hop meant more than fancy outfits and expensive cars. Ice Cube , Ice-T, Public enemy, Wu -Tang Clan, 2 Live Crew and many more that actually hated bimbos shaking their assets and expensive things. They promoted an attitude and a message to the world through smart lyrics that got stuck in your head. Sometimes maybe too agressive but that was the right attidude for that time. Now all of it's gone and what is left of it is a small part of the beat and some wanna be's in my opinion.
If you think otherwise please post it here but make it witha good argument and exemples.

i know where you're coming from sandy. today's hip-hop is about girls, tire rims, grillz, money, and a lot of trivial stuff. usually, songs are just about bragging who has the most women, the most money, or the most hits. i really can't blame these artists or blame those that lssten to this type of hip-hop music. these are basically those that see hip-hop as "fun" music.
gone are the days, when hip-hop actually talks about the issues that affect society. there are still a coupel of those that release this kind of hip-hop music. common, pharaoh moche, the roots, among others still release relevant music nowadays. its just a matter of figuring out which artists does this type of hip-hop music.
