special memories

Did your mother (or father) do anything special for you when you were a child. I remember my mom always made us bears or mickey mouse and such out of pancakes. That was always really special to me and sometimes I do that with my own kids now. Another thing she did was whenever she would make homemade bread we would each be given a piece of dough that we were allowed to shape on our own. I usually would make some sort of animal, like a bear, or a cat. Now that I have children of my own besides the pancakes I like to make them special birthday cakes. I don't like to buy. So far I have made a puppy cake, Dora's backpack, a hat, a bathtub with a rubber ducky, jungle cake, cheseburger cake and a drum cake. I hope that my kids look back and smile at that and that it turns out to be a special memory for them. So what are some special memories you have? Do you try to create memories for your own children if you have any?

My mom always dress me up on all occassions. She was always present in my school activities and am proud of it. I love those memories when she could be with me everywhere.
