Carly's Jesus Christ Superstar

Hi there mom for kids. I really love Carly Smithson. First, I would like to apologize because I reply to your discussion late. Second, I really liked her version of Jesus Christ Superstar. I kept on watching her videos in youtube. I really felt that she is one of the strongest singer in the show. She is very competitive. Although, because she can really reach high notes with her powerful voice, the judges is not that impress to most of her performances. She is also entertaining. Maybe she just sounds like shouting because, for some, the song does not suit to her voice. Or maybe they changed the key so she will not sing as high as that. But once again, I love Carly and I will love to see her perform live. I am one of her great fan from switzerland. I wish to see her in person. Anyways, Happy Mylotting. i am not from the US too and i cant vote. i dont like her version too. although brooke was first on my list to be booted that night i didnt like carly's performance too. she sounds like she is having difficult to reach the notes of the song i was shocked too that syasha was at the bottom 2.

I don't' watch idol but caught the bit at the end when they show everyone's performance. I didn't think her version of Jesus Christ Superstar was horrible but I have heard much better out of HS students.

Interesting... As I thought it was no where close to as good as the original, I did not think she did a Bad job on this either. I was quite surprized when she was the one to leave this week. I thought for sure it would be Jason or Brooke. There were many before this one I thought were boring, so maybe others were agreeing with me, and when they did not like this one, it was her turn to go. But it could have also been, she has a CD out, and they never hid this fact so that could be part of it as well? Who knows.

Wow- I thought she did a great job on that song. I was shocked that she was sent home. But some people may not have liked that song- it was a risky song choice.
