If someone play intrigue against you, what will you do?

In the world, there are more than 1.3 billion people, that is with over 1.3 different personality and mind. Some are good to you, some are bad. The bads around you may paly intrigue against you, because of money, benifit purpose etc. Can you detect it beforehanded? Or how can you be a popular one without any jealousy? If someone is making bad things to you, how will you solve it? I am from China. In China, there are books and movies introduce you how people do it when the case happened.
