Have you ever seen a ghost or thought you have?

Let me first make my stand clear. I don't actually 'believe' in ghosts, but I keep my mind open regarding this. There could be ghosts around, you can never say. But ghostly encounters is something totally different. Here is a list of ghost stories from my life: 1. My paternal grandmother was famous for her ability to drive out ghosts from possessed people (especially women) It is claimed that she could actually see ghosts and converse with them. 2. My maternal grandfather told everybody who cared to listen that he met a ghost in the forest. Personally, I think he was drunk and saw a shadow moving. 3. My maternal grandmother could hear ghosts. She never saw one! I think she was imagining things. 4. When I was just a kid, I remember bumping into many ghosts while I was making my way to the bathroom at night. Now, I think I was just scared of the dark, was half asleep, and had a great imagination. 5. When I was a teenager, a ghost ate up all the snacks we forgot in the hall. I heard the sound of someone gobbling and turned on the light. There was no one in sight but the snacks had disappeared. My mother suspects Jacob the cat, who belonged to the neighbor, but well, you can never say. So, mylotters, got any ghost stories to share? Saw a ghost? Met someone who claimed to have seen a ghost? Imagined you saw one? Share and lets have fun. Cheers and happy mylotting.

I DO believe in ghosts, spirits, the undead...whatever you want to call them. They have haunted me all of my life. When your bed is being raised and dropped very quickly and you are the only person in the room...ghost. When you are alone and you put the hammer beside you and then you reach for it and its gone, then 3 days later it shows up in a closet under a sweater...ghost. When you go into a house and something unseen shoves you so you fell down the stairs...ghost!!! When you hear a female voice call your cats name and there is no other female but you in the home and even the cat looks...ghost. When your daughter and son at the age of two and three complain there's laughing in the walls and you are in a single home with only yourself and them...well, you get the idea.

WOW, sounds really scary. But I believe, if you are not scared of them, they just leave you alone, right?

Most people are not bothered by ghosts (afraid or not). Us highly intuitive types (clairvoyant/clairaudient) seem to be the brunt of their storms (hence the being pushed and the bed...) Most people haven't reached that level of intuition yet and the ghosts seem to be able to differentiate between us all. In other words, if your the average joe blow with no "gifts" then don't worry. They can speak to you and can show themselves periodically, but they can't touch you.

yup, i have seen a white lady in our classroom when i was in high school. it was recess time so the classroom was abandoned for the meantime, and i saw a white lady on the blackboard, of course she was floating, and she was like 2 feet high from the ground. it was 3PM at that time, and you cant really see her features, just the face shape and hair. and when i noticed that she was floating toward me, i slowly walked out of the classroom and it took quite a while for it to sink in, but when it did,i was afraid! well, that classroom has a history of ghosts possesing its student's a couple of years back.

Hello gorgeous cat, I have my encounter as well like the one I typed in my discussion and it scared the hell out of me during that time. But come to think of it now, I know that I shouldn't be scared at all and just focus on "if I don't disturb you, you don't as well". It could have been my imagination but I couldn't have. So, I just leave it at that for now. Good discussion here. :)-

Hello handsome! So, you started a discussion on ghosts too? I never knew ghosts were that popular. ;) You have forgotten to paste the link. I would have loved to have a look at your discussion. I guess I will find it somewhere. Cheers

I most def believe. About 14 years ago I was trying to track down my husband at a local fishing hole I wanted to turn around so I thought I'd go down the road to the covered bridge turn around, when I approached the bridge I saw a woman wearing a long dress walking onto the bridge as I went onto the bridge and looked back she was gone, I turned around and went back and she was no where to be found, there was no other way off the bridge and no houses close by, that's when I started to believe. I also had another experience which I thought was so awesome, 2 years ago my mother in law passed away and I was sitting watching tv and saw this ball of light out of the corner of my eye I looked and there it was just hovering in the air then just floated up to the ceiling and disappeared, I said nothing to my husband about it cause I didn't want him to think I was crazy well don't you know 2 days later he yelled up the stairs to me and said OMG your not gonna believe what I just saw and he told me and I said I totally believe it because I saw it too, it was an orb and we believe it was his mother coming to say goodbye. Sounds strange but it happened.

I have seen something and had quite a few weird experiences, I wasnt sure I believed until I started staying at my boyfriends house. So here we go, a list of my experiences: a) I was once walking down the stairs and a shadow walked in front of me, right in my eyeline- noone else was in the house for definate b) Lying in bed one night and I felt a blowing on my face, it gradually got stronger until it knocked something off of the bedside table, I then made my boyfriend swap sides with me so that if it was the wind he would have to deal with it (haha) but it still happened- i never feel quite comfortable in his house now c) I closed a door on a cupboard and went to the bathroom, when I came out the door was open, I thought my boyfriend was hiding behind it so I told him to come out, the more angry I got the more the door started shaking until it flew shut (this door has to be slammed so that it will close)- my boyfriend was downstairs the whole time Some very scary experiences!

That must have been real scary! And you said this was your boyfriend's house? Is it a very ancient house? How come your boyfriend never experienced anything like this? LOL, you sure have an interesting boyfriend--he loves ice cream too much and he lives in a haunted house. Convey my best regards to him!! :) Cheers and thanks for responding.

Lol! He is 'interesting'! lol. He has had experiences. They have a dart board in the attic and he woke up one night to the sound of someone playing darts when everyone else was in bed! His mum also saw someone walking around in the kitchen and we had to search the whole house! Its not an old house but it used to be a vicarage?!?!?!?!?!

I have never been sure i have seen a ghost but sometimes i think i seen something out the corner of my eye and by the time i look there is nothing but the more i think about it the more i picture what i think i have seen. I wish i could see ghosts i miss my puppydog!!

I dont believe in ghosts but i do believe in spirits.. But whatever it is..it scares the heck out of my mind though am too curious to know it..But u know what..there are always two extremes that exist in this world..which keeps everything in balance..say like ying-yang,poles of magnet, darkness and light, man and woman..so there should always be a positive force(personified as god)for a negative force(personified as evil, ghosts, spirit etc) ...I seriously dont wanna meet one in my life though...lol..either be it god or ghost..i will surely faint if i see one!! A psychic has also said me i will encounter more occult experiences than anyone else as am a number 8 ..wonder whats gonna happen, though i dont want one..lol..
