Scary Weather

Last night an enormous blast of thunder woke me from a good sleep. I woke up shaking and it was a few minutes before I could get settled enough to get back to sleep. This morning I found out the lightening has struck a tree in the yard of a house near me. It is the house of my elderly aunt. It fell on part of her house, messed up some of her plumbing and caught her back porch on fire. All I can say is I am very thankful that she was not home at the time.

I sleep so much better when it is raining and even storming. I probably would not have even woken up to the crash of thunder that you heard. I am sorry to hear about your aunts house. It is very lucky that she was not at home when that happened.

I sleep better hearing the rain on the roof. I had never been shaken out of bed by a lightening crash before, but that night it was like an earthquake when the lightening hit next door.
