That's hilarious! I'd love to go to a "Spam-Con" just to see what it's all about. People make fun of Spam (and corned beef hash) around here, but I've always like it. I think because I grew-up with not a lot of money, money was concentrated on fruits and vegetables as the prime source of nutients (trying to get the best quality for cost) and meats were kind-of second in importance. Spam was a staple-a "special" dinned was chicken or something barbequed like burgers. (We also grilled Spam burgers, if you must know!) :)

At the Spam-o-rama I've been told they have a recipe contest with different categories including dessert.
I have eaten Spam before but I just can't imagine having a dessert made out of it.

How funny.
I visited Austin last January and I loved the city. It was gorgeous, clean, easy to get around, and everyone was very friendly. I curious though, why celebrate Spam?

I have NO idea why, but it looks like fun!
Kind of like Eeyore's birthday party ( a HUGE bash in a downtown park), no idea why, but it looks fun!
I love living in Austin.
